Terms of use

The service

ShortsRank lets you arrange clips into a vertical countdown and download a video file. The assembly runs in your browser. We may change templates, limits, or copy. We may also leave a control visibly disabled while a third-party key is missing. A disabled checkout is not a promise that a charge will succeed later.

Your clips

You are responsible for the rights in every file you add. That includes the picture, the audio, music, and any person who needed to agree to be in the clip. ShortsRank does not review uploads, because the files are not uploaded to us. Do not use the tool to build a countdown from footage you do not have permission to edit or publish. Broadcast sports, other people’s streams, and commercial music are common cases where the answer is no.

You keep the rights you already had. We do not take a license to host or redistribute your clips, because we do not host them.

Acceptable use

Do not use the site to break the law, to harass someone, or to probe the hosting in a way that degrades it for other people. Do not misrepresent a ShortsRank export as an official file from another company. CapCut, TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram are their owners’ names. ShortsRank is not affiliated with them. Comparison pages are descriptions, not endorsements.

Free and lifetime

The free tier may export a limited countdown with a watermark and a lower resolution. Those limits can be enforced in the editor and can change if the cost of the feature changes. Lifetime is a one-time unlock for this product, intended at $24, for a higher clip count, a longer per-clip cap, a higher export size, and no watermark.

Lifetime is not a subscription, not a seat for a team, and not a promise of future templates beyond the editor you can open. It does not include auto-posting, music licensing, or a cloud render queue.

One shop for this site

Payments are meant to run through a Waffo store created for ShortsRank only. A purchase on another domain, including other tools in the same portfolio, is a different shop and does not unlock ShortsRank. Do not send product ids, API keys, or webhook secrets from another store to this one. The static site does not store your card number. Waffo’s terms apply to the payment itself.

Until the ShortsRank store is connected, the checkout page must say that it cannot charge you. A localStorage flag labeled as a testing unlock is not a sale, has no price, and is not a receipt.

Refunds

This is the refund rule that will apply once Waffo is taking live payments for ShortsRank. Email [email protected] within 7 days of the charge if the exporter cannot produce a playable vertical file on a current desktop version of Chrome or Edge, you tell us the browser version and the error text, and we cannot fix it or give you a working export path in that window. Refunds are not available for files you dislike creatively, for clips you did not have rights to, or for a third-party platform rejecting a post. The local testing unlock is not refundable because no payment is taken.

If a charge happens by mistake before keys were supposed to be live, email the same address and include the time and the email on the receipt. We will treat an unintended charge as a refund case even inside the 7 days.

No warranty

The editor is provided as-is. Browsers differ. A file that plays on your machine can still be rejected by an app for length, codec, or rights. We do not warrant view counts, account standing, or that a ranking format will keep working on a platform. Export time is roughly the length of the short, because the file is rendered in real time. Very large source files can stall a tab. The editor warns past 60 MB and refuses past 180 MB for that reason.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Dylan Yu is not liable for lost profits, lost clips, or platform penalties arising from how you use an export. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited, including fraud or injury caused by negligence where a statute forbids that limit.

These terms

If a piece of the site conflicts with a more specific note on the checkout page about a missing key, the more specific note wins for that control. The date at the top changes when the terms change. Continuing to use the editor after a change means you accept the new terms for later use. Questions go to [email protected].
